Do you have MSXML 4.0 SP2 installed? I've seen some bad installations that
can cause the editor to fail to load. You can download the MSI from:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/XML/XMLDownloads/default.aspx
Try repairing the installation if you already have it installed.

I am having issues with this as well, and nothing stated in this thread
worked for me. I get the "Loading Editor..." text in the CS Manager. It
doesnt ever load anything, and it doesnt throw an exception or time out.
Help
is appreciated.

Post by David Hargis [MSFT]You could also check you local IIS settings. The web application hosting
the profile editor should be located at http://localhost/Widgets. Try
opening IIS Manager and checking the settings for this Directory. For
things to work properly, this should map to the physical directory
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Enterprise
Servers\Commerce
Post by David Hargis [MSFT]Server\Widgets" (or similar), and only integrated windows authentication
should be allowed (be sure that anonymous access is not enabled).

Post by David Hargis [MSFT]The most likely problem is your local intranet security settings.
Open
Post by David Hargis [MSFT]Post by IchadPost by David Hargis [MSFT]your internet options in ID and try setting the local intranet zone to
medium-low security. This is needed because the editor uses ActiveX
controls to edit the profile schema.
Thanks,

Hi all,
I tried to install the CS 2007 RC in a new virtual image..
It installed OK, including Starter Site.
When I tried to open Profile Definition from CS Manager to add new
properties for UserObject, It didn't load the editor. What was shown on
the
Post by IchadPost by David Hargis [MSFT]screen was text "Loading Editor", but the editor itself never shows up.
It supposed to give me page with Properties menus such as General Info,
AccountInfo, ProfileSystem where I can then expand them to view the profile's
field and do update.
It also didn't work when I tried to view other profile objects.
I'm just wondering what's happening here.. I re-ran the installation
to
Post by IchadPost by David Hargis [MSFT]Repair mode, but to no avail.
Can any one give me a clue on what's missing here..
Thank's
